Privacy Policy
We believe you should know exactly what happens to your data. This policy is written in plain English — no legal jargon, no hidden surprises.
Last updated: 2 July 2026 · Effective immediately

The short version: You enter your financial data. We store it securely so you can access it across devices. We never sell it, never share it, and never look at it. You can delete everything at any time.

1. Who we are

Budly is a personal budgeting app created and operated by Budly Limited, a private company limited by shares registered in Ireland (company number 819232). Budly Limited is the data controller responsible for your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at hello@usebudly.com.

Budly is accessible at usebudly.com.

2. What data we collect

When you use Budly, we collect only what's necessary to make the app work:

We do not collect your real bank account details, card numbers, or connect to any financial institution. All financial figures in Budly are manually entered by you.

3. How we store your data

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider with enterprise-grade security. Your data is:

4. Who can see your data

Only you. Your financial data is private to your account. Budly does not have a dashboard that lets us browse individual users' financial information. We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal or financial data with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

Your account and financial data is stored only with Supabase, our secure database provider. Two further services process limited technical data to deliver the app: Cloudflare, which hosts and serves Budly and processes request data (such as IP addresses) as part of doing so securely, and Google Fonts, which receives standard request data (such as IP addresses) when the app's typefaces load. None of these providers sells your data or uses it for advertising. You can read their privacy policies at supabase.com/privacy, cloudflare.com/privacypolicy and policies.google.com/privacy.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as you have an active Budly account. If you delete your account, all of your data — including your email address, financial data and account history — is permanently and immediately deleted from our systems. This cannot be undone.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

As a user based in the European Union or elsewhere, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@usebudly.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

Budly uses only essential cookies — specifically, a secure session token that keeps you logged in between visits. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies or analytics cookies. We do not use third-party advertising networks.

8. Children's privacy

Budly is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you via email or through a notice in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

10. Spanish language version

Esta política de privacidad está disponible en español bajo petición. Por favor contáctenos en hello@usebudly.com y le enviaremos una versión en español.
