The short version: You enter your financial data. We store it securely so you can access it across devices. We never sell it, never share it, and never look at it. You can delete everything at any time.

When you use Budly, we collect only what's necessary to make the app work:
- Account information — your email address and encrypted password, used to identify your account
- Financial data you enter — your income, expenses, savings goals and debt figures. This data is entered by you voluntarily and stored so you can access it across devices
- Usage data — basic technical information like when you last logged in, used to keep your session active
We do not collect your real bank account details, card numbers, or connect to any financial institution. All financial figures in Budly are manually entered by you.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database provider with enterprise-grade security. Your data is:
- Encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
- Stored in secure, access-controlled databases
- Protected by Row Level Security — meaning your data is technically isolated from other users' data at the database level
Only you. Your financial data is private to your account. Budly does not have a dashboard that lets us browse individual users' financial information. We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal or financial data with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.
The only third party that processes your data is Supabase, which acts as our secure data storage provider. You can read Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
We keep your data for as long as you have an active Budly account. If you delete your account, all of your data — including your email address, financial data and account history — is permanently and immediately deleted from our systems. This cannot be undone.
As a user based in the European Union or elsewhere, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to erasure — you can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the app under Settings → Delete Account
- Right to rectification — you can update your information at any time within the app
- Right to portability — you can request your data in a portable format by contacting us
- Right to object — you can object to how we process your data by contacting us
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@usebudly.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Budly uses only essential cookies — specifically, a secure session token that keeps you logged in between visits. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies or analytics cookies. We do not use third-party advertising networks.
Budly is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
If we make significant changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you via email or through a notice in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
